Registered Nurse RN - Ambulatory Clinic for Hematology/Oncology - Jackson

Full Time 40 hours - Day Shift. clinic hours between 7am - 6pm. Shifts vary between 6.5 - 9.5 hours/day - includes minimal weekend rotations of 1-3 times/year. 

This is a very busy clinic. RN's will perform the following: Infusions, patient triaging, In-basket, patient assessments, etc. Lots of multi-tasking required. Very time driven as this is a busy, fast paced clinic. IV's skills preferred, Medication management experience preferred. 

Ideal candidate would be familiar with Oncology/Hematology patients, Chemo medications, ambulatory/clinic environment experience or inpatient / ER experience. Customer service and EPIC experience preferred. Vascular access and peripheral IV skills, chemo certification, oncology experience preferred.

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: BSN preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
