Job Summary:The Communications Coordinator will work with members of the Communications team and department leaders throughout the firm to conceptualize, support and execute messaging that directly influences employee engagement. Reporting to the Director of Internal Communications, this person will use various platforms, programs and tools—including and especially the firm’s intranet—to communicate information about the firm’s business, culture and people.
This position requires a driven, detail-focused individual with exceptional communication and critical thinking skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supports a maturing internal communications function that enhances the employee experience, fuels employee engagement and positively influences the firm’s culture.
  • Writes and edits high-quality content aligned with the firm’s voice, style and tone.
  • Provides editorial support to administrative departments on internal campaigns, ensuring messaging and materials are exceptionally written and integrated with firm priorities and themes.
  • Serves as a liaison to departments directly impacting firm culture—Well-Being, Pro Bono and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion among others.
  • Supports development and execution of key team deliverables including firm-wide newsletter, all-hands meetings and executive communications.
  • Creates basic graphic design and video elements aligned with visual brand.
  • Participates as a core team member in initiatives related to strategy and execution of the firm’s intranet.
  • Assists in maintenance of firm-wide internal communications calendar and project management trackers; identifies and tracks key metrics to assess impact of internal campaigns and inform future strategies.
  • Supports execution of special projects at the intersection of firm marketing, communications and brand.
  • Partners with public relations, awards, social media and events functions on initiatives with overlapping internal/external reach.
Skills and Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Communications, English, Public Relations or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a related field and role, with a professional services background preferred.
  • Impeccable attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Superior writing, grammar, editing and proofreading skills; ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format and adapt communication style and tone to relevant audiences.
  • An eye for design and excellent skills as related to technical platforms and tools, combined with the ability to master new tools quickly.
  • Positive, entrepreneurial, problem-solving attitude; ability to meet competing deadlines with shifting priorities.
  • Willingness to build relationships and collaborate across the broader Business Services teams.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications including SharePoint and Teams; experience with SmartSheet, Camtasia and Canva preferred.
This is a hybrid role.
For Colorado, the expected hourly wage range for this position is between $32.20 - $35.80. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
