Jackson National Life Insurance is Hiring a Remote Contracts Project Coordinator

Job Purpose The Contracts Project Coordinator reports directly to the Associate General Counsel, Contracts and serves as the primary point of contact and liaison for the contract review process. The Contracts Project Coordinator routinely handles confidential information and maintains reference systems and databases. This individual works alongside the Contracts team on all activities and projects and is responsible for monitoring and reporting on department initiatives, deliverables, and related matters. Essential Responsibilities Coordinates and facilitates the contract review process. This includes but is not limited to: Logging new contract review requests into the Contracts database/repository; Assigning workflows to the Contracts team members; Assessing new requests to determine the urgency of review; Monitoring the status of contract review requests; Serving as the liaison between Contracts team members and internal customers; Conducting research and performing follow-up with internal customers to obtain information and copies of executed agreements; Maintaining the process for purging and sending files to off-site storage in accordance with the Records Retention Policy; Creating, maintaining, and distributing statistics regarding all incoming contracts and reviews performed; and Maintaining an active log of working files for Contracts team members. This includes updating the log as reviews are performed, monitoring approaching deadlines to ensure service-level agreements are met, and providing weekly reports as needed. Serves as the department's subject matter expert for the contract systems in use. Actively engages and collaborates with the Contracts team and its business constituents to ensure effective utilization of the contracting process. Serves as a primary project resource and actively contributes to special projects and strategic initiatives affecting the Contracts team. Liaises regularly with the Purchasing department on matters affecting the Procure to Pay process. Tracks and identifies potential areas of improvements for the team’s procedures and methodologies. Aids in the development, implementation, and management of administrative programs and policies for the Contracts Unit. Other Duties Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent project management skills. Ability to motivate and inspire team members, both on an individual and team level, to achieve project goals and objectives. Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to independently edit and compose content and other correspondence. Strong presentation skills with the ability to effectively organize, create, summarize, and present information to leaders. Flexibility and creative thinking ability to be able to develop innovative solutions to complex problems and issues. Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to effectively communicate and build relationships with all levels of stakeholders across the organization, including executive management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office applications. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills supporting a fast-paced, multitasking environment. Ability to prioritize efficiently to accomplish objectives, work within strict timeframes, and meet deadlines. Ability to appropriately handle sensitive confidential information. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required. 2 years of project management or similar project experience required. Experience developing reports, policies, and business procedures required. 5 years of business-related experience required. Experience in a professional environment supporting control functions, which may include legal, compliance, audit, or security preferred. Experience with contract management/matter management systems preferred.
