Jackson & Samuelson Dental is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Chapel Hill, NC

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dental office by assisting with various tasks to ensure efficient and high-quality patient care. Our office hours are Monday - Thursday, 8:00am-5:00pm with a one hour lunch break.

Duties:

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing the work area, handing instruments, and providing suction or other assistance as needed.
- Must have radiology certification.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation of treatments.
- Provide chairside assistance to dentists in all types of general dental procedures.
- Utilize knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical imaging techniques to support clinical operations.
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality and data security.-Excellent infection control techniques to prevent cross-contamination in the operatories and when sterilizing instruments.

Skills:

-Must have at least one year of experience as a certified dental assistant.- Proficiency in assisting with dental procedures and treatments.
- Experience with Eaglesoft preferred, but not required.
- Ability to handle all patients with care and compassion.
- Knowledge of medical records management practices.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements.
