The SchoolJackson Walnut Park School is an early childhood (18 months) through Grade 6 school, conveniently located in Newton Corner, near the Mass Pike, accessible by public transportation (MBTA Bus Express Bus).Founded and sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston, Jackson Walnut Park School traces its roots back to the 1960s. The School has two divisions: Walnut Park Montessori, serving 18-month-olds to 6-year-olds, and Jackson Elementary, a Kindergarten through Grade 6 independent Catholic school.The PositionJackson Walnut Park School seeks full-time (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.) Admissions, Advancement & Events Associate to begin this summer for the 2024 - 2025 school year. This is a 12-month, salaried position with benefits. Occasional evening and weekend work is required.Reporting to the Director of Admissions & Enrollment Management and the Director of Advancement & Communications, the Admissions, Advancement & Events Associate owns key activities that support the success and growth of the Admissions, Enrollment Management, and Advancement functions of the School.All Jackson Walnut Park School faculty and staff members are expected to embody the Mission and Values of our school. We invite you to learn about our Mission and Values at jwpschools.org.Responsibilities include:ADMISSIONS & ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT:DATABASE/DATA MANAGEMENT●Care for the content, look, and feel of the School’s Ravenna platform experience for prospective families and FACTS platform experience for current families.●Ensure all information within these platforms is accurate and up to date.●Keep up to date about the latest platform capabilities and enhancements, providing relevant information and updates to the Director of Admissions & Enrollment Management to help the School recognize the most value from these platforms.FORMS, DOCUMENTATION, AND REPORTS●Manage the forms and documentation utilized by prospective, incoming, current, and returning families of the School.●Run, maintain, and deliver weekly, monthly, and annual reports pertaining to Admissions and Enrollment Management, as defined by the Director of Admissions & Enrollment Management.●Run and prepare reports in alignment with the School’s board meeting schedule.OUTWARD-FACING MATERIALS●Ensure all of the School’s factual information, stats, and data are consistently current on the School’s website, on the School’s social media profile pages (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), on Niche, Great Schools, Boston Magazine, the Association of Independent Schools in New England (AISNE) website, etc.ADVANCEMENT:DATABASE/DATA MANAGEMENT●The School’s Raiser’s Edge database – its structure, organization, and the quality and accuracy of the information.●Stay up to date about the latest platform capabilities and enhancements, providing relevant information and updates to the Director of Advancement & Communications to help the School recognize the most value from the platform.●Attend to the quality and accuracy of giving data for the School for all constituencies: current parents and grandparents, parents and grandparents of graduates, organizations, friends of the School, etc.ACKNOWLEDGEMENT LETTERS●Create and deliver accurate, timely gift acknowledgement letters.REPORTS●Run, maintain, and deliver weekly, monthly, and annual reports pertaining to Advancement, as defined by the Director of Advancement & Communications●Run and prepare reports in alignment with the School’s board meeting schedule.ANNUAL REPORT●Draft the School’s Annual Report.EVENTS:Support the project management and delivery of the following types of events:●Open Houses and Local Fairs●Newly Admitted Student Visit Days●Community Events Examples of responsibilities include: developing distribution lists, sending invitations, assembling attendee gifts, setting up and breaking down event spaces, sending follow-up communications, and updating databases post event.
