Collection Representative
Duties:
- Contact individuals and businesses to collect outstanding debts
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements with debtors
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities
- Follow legal and ethical guidelines in debt collection practices
- Provide excellent customer service while resolving payment issues
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies
- Prepare reports on collection activities and progress
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable and account reconciliation processes
- Experience in telemarketing or phone-based customer service
- Familiarity with financial concepts and basic math skills
- Ability to analyze accounts and identify delinquent payments
- Proficient in using collection software and tools
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Knowledge of revenue cycle management principles
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding is a plus
