Job Description
Jacob's Pickles newest full service restaurant in South Norwalk, Connecticut is ready to start building a team of hospitality driven professionals. Representing the “Best of Southern” cuisine, Jacob’s Pickles offers signature Southern comfort food and warm hospitality. Our philosophy is simply put to care for employees and nurture our guests, while maintaining a welcoming environment. Our guests should feel as though they’re having a top notch dining experience without the pretentiousness of a typically stuffy 5 star restaurant.
Candidates should have at least 2 years high volume service experience and the ability to raise our already high standards of quality and guest satisfaction. Candidates should have knowledge of artisanal beers and a craft cocktail background.
Our servers are trained to meet the following expectations:
- Works to orchestrate a "Jacob's Pickles" experience-premium yet comfortable and charming. Our servers should have a strong repertoire of classic and modern cocktails, focused awareness on craft beer, and knowledge of the freshest food ingredients.
- Assist our guests to understand and explore the menu to discover new and exciting food and drink options.
- Great approach with our guests; must go above and beyond to make sure our guests leave with a smile.
- A master of the menu-knows it inside and out, so to pair the right beers/drinks with food.
- Big plus being certified in Cicerone, ServeSafe, and T.I.P.S.
- Precisely organizing, preparing a neat work area, with ease of execution.
- Following and complying with Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
- Properly following cash & credit card handling procedures utilizing Toast and company standards.
- Great multi-tasker, and excellence in listening and communication.
- Dress code-wears uniform as prescribed: aprons, Jacob's t-shirt and dark blue jeans, black socks and comfortable but professional black footwear
- Maintain a safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility
- Flexible schedule and available to work weekends and holidays
