Description of Duties:

The Mission Assurance Engineer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

·Possess the ability to work closely with systems, electrical and mechanical engineers as well as facility operations and maintenance personnel and teams

·Apply Mission Assurance best practices to requirements definition, design, implementation, and verification of infrastructure and facility projects

·Perform Mission Assurance impact assessments and adjudicate issues with multiple mission partners in support of infrastructure projects

·Integrate and communicate with base civil engineering and communications squadrons in order to synchronize base and infrastructure projects against MDA research and development events

·Develop and maintain documentation such as updated processes, requirements traceability matrices, Mission Assurance checklists, executive briefs, etc.

·Adhere to all organizational environmental and safety programs

On-site Support on weekends and/or after-hours as required by specific projects (approximately 5-10% of the time; Compensatory Time and Flex Time available)

This position can be filled at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO.

This position is expected to pay $86,500 - $111,500 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Basic Requirements:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 10 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 8 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 4 years of general experience

·Must have 6 years of related experience

·Demonstrate a working knowledge and understanding of government facility operations and systems

·Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and SharePoint

·Must have an active DoD Secret, or higher, security clearance.

Desired Requirements:

·Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering field, and 5 years of systems engineering or related experience

·Demonstrated ability to clearly present and articulate solutions to government customers and stakeholders (individually, as a high-level brief, and/or to a large group)

·Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to closely interact and engage with a wide variety of mission partners

·Demonstrated ability to prioritize and implement tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and work well in a team environment.
