Jake’s Feed and Garden, near Valparaiso, Indiana, is a retail destination specializing in livestock and horse feeds, pet food, wild bird feeders and seed, and lawn and garden supplies. Jake’s offers full lines of products from several feed and pet food manufacturers, as well as fertilizer and seed selection ranging from generic to premium. The philosophy of Jake’s can be summed up as “maximum customer service,” as evidenced by the customer education events, the carry out service, the ongoing employee training effort, and the special order capabilities not ordinarily experienced in the large chain store retail experience.

This would be a part-time position with the opportunity for full-time employment for the right candidate.

Duties would include but not limited to:

*Running cash register

*Handling cash, checks, and credit cards

*Assisting customers

*Answering phones

*Light cleaning

Ideal candidate would be a high energy, motivated individual willing to learn all aspects of the "Jake's" system and transition into full-time employment.
