The Cycle Counter is an integral part of the warehouse operations team that performs regular cycle counting of inventory to maintain accuracy of on-hand quantities and locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core Responsibilities:

• Physically counts a designated zone or selection of parts each day, following established cycle counting procedures
• Accurately documents inventory quantities, locations, and attributes during counting
• Identifies and escalates inventory discrepancies, damages, obsolescence, or other exceptions
• Enters adjustment transactions in the WMS to align system records with counted results

Additional Duties:

• Assists with loading/unloading of trucks during peak periods
• Helps prep and reset cycle count areas by removing obstacles and staging parts
• May support annual physical inventory activities
• Could assist with put-away or picking tasks during staff shortages
• Adheres to site security standards and compliance guidelines
• Follows all safety protocols and wears PPE when in counting areas

Special Projects:

• Assist on all projects when required including lifting, sorting, and wrapping pallets. Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained. Assist in physical inventories. Ensure proper stock rotation.
• Assist in order Split, and Airport Charter separation.
• Cycle counts must be done every day and a minimum of three rows must be scanned.
• Noted flexibility to work overtime during peak periods.

Safety, Sanitation, Security: Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards. Perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Training & Experience):

High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Forklift certification and experience in operating an order picker preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of basic math and computer skills
• Knowledge of part numbers and part usage and understand applications for use.
• Knowledge of shipping, receiving, issuing, delivery, inventory control, and stock handling procedures.
• Knowledge of common tools, supplies, and equipment.
• Ability to read, write legibly, and compute simple arithmetic functions accurately.
• Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy and bulky items.
• Knowledge of safe methods of handling and warehousing a variety of materials.
• Knowledge of computer functions related to inventory control.
• Ability to operate and control a self-propelled forklift and warehousing equipment.

• Familiarity with material handling and radio frequency equipment is needed.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to communicate in English & Spanish.
• Ability to take and follow directions from Team Lead & Supervisor.
• Ability to give directions to and gain compliance from assigned staff.
• Ability to perform other duties as assigned.
• Ability to maintain good planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain a good and positive working relationship with all co-workers and other contacts.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed outside having a variety of weather conditions with exposure to outdoor elements, such as: fumes, smoke or gases, dust, grease, and oils. Work involves rotating shifts and working extended workdays outside the regular working hours and on-call. Capable of working closely with others, and with moving objects or vehicles in an excessively noisy environment. Exposure to unknown and dangerous conditions. Work requires straight pulling, simple and dual simultaneous grasping, standing, sitting, crouching, twisting, pushing, stooping, reaching above shoulders, climbing stairs, walking, carrying over 45 pounds, and moderate lifting over 45 pounds. Ability to see, write, count, read, identify shade of colors, and hear is needed to perform essential functions. Ability to operate equipment and work at heights up to X feet above ground utilizing fall protection and aerial work platforms.
