James Avery Jewelry is Hiring a Retail Internal Communications Manager - Cedar Park, TX Near Cedar, TX

Job Summary

Responsible for the development and implementation of the Retail communication strategy. Collaborates with cross functional business partners and leaders to develop comprehensive communication plans and content to support and drive Retail goals and initiatives. Develops credible, engaging and relevant content and material to help inform and educate Retail Associates. Manages and ensures the delivery of clear, concise and timely communication of diverse materials through various print or electronic channels to effectively support all positions in the retail area. Conducts routine store visits to identify operational gaps and potential enhancements. This is an ONSITE position at our Headquarters location (HQ2) in Cedar Park, TX.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

•Develops communication and directs creative execution to provide a consistent, targeted, and impactful message according to established brand standards for order, clarity conciseness, style and terminology. 

•Builds and maintains solid partnerships with assigned internal clients to better develop, coordinate, direct, and facilitate strategic communications designed to meet business goals. 

•Designs branded content to target specific audiences, placing an emphasis on the end user experience.

•Determines details of how to deliver and manage the flow of information to diverse audiences; identifies key audiences, key messages and channels/formats, including written word, social media, and electronic and live presentations. 

•Develops and edits internal communication including written content and graphic designs to ensure grammar, clarity and accuracy.

•Publish and maintain templates for written documents with an established method of retention and efficient retrieval.

•Contributes ideas for new programs, researching and recommending innovative techniques.

•Researches and understands key business challenges, customer behavior, target audiences, competitive activity, and environmental factors that impacts programs within the business and assigned departments. 

•Identifies and presents opportunities for consistency in messaging and customer experience across channels from in-store communication to digital to print.

•Develops an understanding of short- and long-term department goals and planned initiatives.

•Works with leadership to take the pulse of overall business activity and results to adapt content through feedback, follow up and routine store visits.

•Stays informed of developments in the field of communication within the industry to foster ideas and innovation. 

•Balances multiple simultaneous communication and retail operations including weekly projects and annual store manager conference planning with priority to meeting deadlines.

•Collaborates cross-functionally across the organization to identify and create effective and diverse communication through various print or electronic channels.

•Participates in planning and special projects as requested.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

•Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field; or equivalent combination of education/experience.

•3 years of retail store operations or communications experience or similar work.

•Demonstrated experience with various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.).

•Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, Adobe and web content management systems or similar software.

•Strong, versatile and effective written and verbal communication skills.

•Ability to deliver creative, engaging and informative presentations to diverse audiences.

•Strong interpersonal skills with ability to create collaborative relationships at all organizational levels.

•Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and strategically prioritize work to meet established deadlines.

•Ability to travel to various work locations with possible overnight stays as necessary.
