Your opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Institutional ETP Sales Director with a deep understanding of ETFs and the broader capital markets to join our team. This role is pivotal in expanding our ETF reach and impact within the institutional investment community across our entire suite of equity and fixed income solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a consultative approach to building and nurturing client relationships.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients across multiple market channels and geographies, including OCIOs, Endowments & Foundations, Pensions, and Insurance companies.
  • Implement effective sales strategies to attract new assets and build prospective client relationships through a consultative approach.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on all JHI’s ETFs, educating clients on the structure, design, and underlying strategies driving returns.
  • Serve clients in an advisory capacity for JHI's ETPs, functioning as a consultant and leader with a vision to make valuable contributions within a risk-adjusted framework.
  • Work closely with the existing institutional team, consultant relations, client service, client strategy team, and marketing to ensure cohesive and strategic client engagement.
  • Maintain a high level of engagement through presentations and follow-ups, providing comfort and clarity regarding the firm's capabilities.
  • Coordinate with investment teams to promote JHI’s ETF capabilities and foster business growth.

Must have skills
  • 10 years of client facing sales and/or product specialist experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Series 7 and Series 63 licenses
  • Strong client orientation and a successful track record of raising assets and generating revenue through sourcing opportunities independently, closing new business in final presentations and servicing large complex mandates with clients
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively
  • Consultative and solutions oriented with the highest standard of integrity and quality in delivering excellence to the client
  • Proven ability to represent a multiple-product firm. Have very strong financial, pension and investment understanding and ability to explain and discuss sophisticated investment products and investment strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills along with team orientation and a collaborative nature
  • Experienced professional who understands how to navigate organizations, communicate clearly, gain alignment, and execute
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proven success in building long-term relationships and demonstrating a keen understanding of the sales cycle. Possess a focused and strategic approach to the market

For those in scope of Knowledge & Competence (MiFID II)
  • Knowledge of financial markets, financial markets function and the impact of economic figures and national/regional/global events on markets

Compensation information
The base salary range for this position is $180,000-200,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different. This role will remain open until August 23, 2024.

Annual Bonus Opportunity: Position is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus award from the profit pool. The profit pool is funded based on Company profits. Individual bonuses are determined based on Company, department, team and individual performance.
