Location(s): Annapolis Junction, Maryland Hours: Regular Full-Time Clearance Requirements This position requires a current and active TS/SCI with Poly at the time of application. What you will be doing: Prepares analytics and data to obtain answers to business questions. Design, develop, construct, test, and maintain architectures to process data and operate data-driven analytics in support of mission and business functions. Develop data set processes for data modeling, mining, and production. Employ a variety of languages and tools (e.g., scripting languages) to marry systems together. Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality. Conduct research to answer mission and business questions. Leverage large volumes of data from multiple sources to answer mission and business questions. Employ sophisticated analytics, programs, machine learning, and statistical methods to prepare date for use in analytical processes and prescriptive modeling. Explore and examine data for hidden patterns. Automate work through the use of predictive and prescriptive analytics. Develop processes to extract/transform/load (ETL) data between different systems. Document results and prepare reports based on analysis that explain the data and results in terms meaningful to stakeholders. Should be familiar with Agile processes and structures and able to work on a software development team Analyze data collections to identify and resolve data cleansing, consistency, and anomaly issues Design, develop, and implement analytics based on the latest industry standards and techniques for data engineering to answer business questions and perform business analysis Analyze, design, and implement data cleansing and coalescing approaches to bring together disparate collections of data for business analysis Identify, develop, and deploy new approaches to automate data analysis and utilize machine learning Identify, develop, and deploy software and scripts needed to collect business-relevant metrics based on enterprise data Ability to utilize modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB to create representative and useful models of mission and business processes Position Requirements Experience: Six (6) years of experience in software development/engineering in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Four (4) years of experience in data engineering and technical data analysis Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related discipline. Four (4) years of additional database structure and data mining experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree. Physical Demands: This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to move files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Why JASINT?
