Job Summary: As a Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to expectant mothers and newborns. Responsibilities include but are not limited to monitoring maternal and fetal well-being, assisting with labor and delivery procedures, providing postpartum care, and educating patients and families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs and assess overall well-being during labor and delivery.
• Assist obstetricians and midwives during labor, childbirth, and postpartum care.
• Administer medications and anesthesia as directed by healthcare providers.
• Provide emotional support and guidance to mothers and their families throughout the birthing process.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results to ensure the safety of both mother and baby.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on childbirth preparation, newborn care, and postpartum recovery.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and provide immediate intervention as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1-2 years of work experience as an RN in Labor and Delivery Antepartum and/or Obstetrics Operative.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Acute Care setting.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• California Registered Nurse License - Required.
• Active BLS, PALS, and ACLS through the American Heart Association.
• NRP Certification.

Hours Per Day: 12.00

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $97,000.00 - $137,000.00 per year
