The Director of Tax Accounting, is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our tax compliance and reporting processes, with a focus on US taxes, international taxes, and indirect taxes. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate tax filings, minimize tax liabilities, and support the company's strategic objectives.
What you'll be doing: - Manage the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and advise senior management on potential impacts to the business.
- Manage our global tax compliance including transfer pricing, foreign tax credits, and tax treaties.
- Coordinate with external advisors and tax authorities to address international tax issues and mitigate risks.
- Oversee the calculation, reporting, and remittance of indirect taxes such as VAT, GST, and sales/use tax.
- Monitor changes in indirect tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize exposure to penalties.
- Partner with finance, legal, and other departments to provide tax support and guidance on business initiatives, transactions, and projects.
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior management on tax-related matters.
- Identify and assess tax risks and opportunities, implementing controls and procedures to mitigate risks and maximize tax savings.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of tax provisions and disclosures in financial statements.

What we look for: - Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
- Master's degree is preferred
- CPA is highly preferred
- 15 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on US taxes, international taxes and indirect taxes
- 5 years of experience in progressive leadership roles
- Strong technical knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Commitment to professional development and staying current on tax trends and best practices.
- Demonstrated skills in prioritizing strict deadlines, problem solving, project management and completion
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency in tax software and financial reporting systems.
- Experience in a multinational company
- Multilingual a plus
