Master Planner

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Master Planner to join our Prepared Foods team here at JBS! The Master Planner’s primary functions will be to convert the S&OP plan (Short, mid, long term) monthly plan into a weekly plan to facilitate material requirements planning and guide the Plant Schedulers into this plan. Provides the MPS – Master Planning Schedule for the Category aligned with the S&OP, and guide the raw material requirements for filling production schedules and establishing delivery times. This role will work on the Greeley HQ and act as the main liaison between corporate Production Planning, Sales and Operations. This person will be responsible for analyzing and revising production plans and providing appropriate delivery dates as required. The Master Planner works with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction. They will analyze and report on actual customer demand, trends and forecasts, and adjusts capacity plans accordingly. Additionally, this person will report the deviations to Sales Team, and align actions plans with Operations, Customer Service, and Sales; and will support the S&OP manager on analysis reports from SAP/IBP.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct input to setting master production planning metrics targets;
  • Provide necessary input to supply planner to support integrated business planning;
  • Maintain data relevant to master production planning activities including planning calendars, material data, and location;
  • Analyze plant capacity and production requisition data to resolve manufacturing plans and required sources;
  • Analyze data and make recommendations on increasing/decreasing inventory targets;
  • Advise Operations Manager of any potential issues;
  • Support S&OP Manager on analytical data;
  • Analyze variances between actual, budget, and constrained forecasts;
  • Establish, maintain, report, and analyze trends for key performance indicators for forecast accuracy, demand variability, and inventory.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineer or Business Administration;
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as Planner;
  • APICS certification is a plus;
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Excel, Powerpoint, SAP, SAP/IBP
  • Analytical skills, detail orientated
  • Develop and maintain relationships with staff and all management
  • Knowledge of perishable food manufacturing
  • Frequently required to sit; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and technology applied.
  • Must be able to accept change and understanding of dealing with a perishable product.
  • Very fast paced environment that requires multi-tasking at any given time.
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills.
  • Must have a demonstrable record of delivery through being a team player.
  • Plant working environment/Food Manufacturing Operations environment.
  • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
