JC FORD is Hiring an Electrical Assembler (1st Shift) Near Columbia, TN

DescriptionAssembly of Electrical Control Panel, Junction Boxes, and some wire harnesses from prints. This position is responsible for the physical assembly, wiring and testing of control panels for manufacturing tortilla and tortilla chip processing equipment. The Technician will fabricate controls to print, including layout and physical mounting of components to the back panel, wiring of all components, installation of control panel onto equipment, and testing to ensure proper operation. All duties must be performed in accordance with all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Dimension and layout of back panels and enclosures
  • Mounting of components to back panels and enclosures
  • Routing and bundling of wire and cables neatly to meet wiring standards.
  • Point-to-point wiring of relays, controls, PLC, I/O Modules, VFDs, Interfaces, & Instrumentation
  • Troubleshoot panels as needed to eliminate wiring errors and component malfunctions.
  • Maintain red line drawing mark-ups of changes required during fabrication.
  • Communicate red-line changes to Engineer or Team Leader for revision prior to completion.
  • Communicates effectively with all team members, leads, builders, engineers, and Project Manager.
  • The ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • A high standard of quality and attention to detail
  • Routing and bending conduit.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Experience And Background
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, equipment maintenance, safety management, and controls and instrumentation.
  • Ability to interpret and follow written directions, blueprints, and engineering diagrams.
  • Excellent grasp of math skills to meet technical specifications and measurements.
  • Capacity to logically solve problems and manage projects by utilizing a data-driven, detail-oriented, approach.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others and to participate in and/or lead a cross-functional team.
  • Possess the ability to drive for results, hold self-accountable, and continuously improve.
Qualifications
  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Technical school attendance is a plus
  • 3 years of experience
  • The ability to understand and work from schematics is a MUST.
  • Knowledge of electrical theory and terminology is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, (written and verbally) with peers and management.
  • Must be willing to work overtime if the business need arises.
  • Must be very detailed oriented and strive to achieve high-quality results.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, organize, and adhere to written procedures.
  • Must be able to simultaneously handle the demands of internal and external customer
Physical RequirementsMost of the job function is performed in a manufacturing setting requiring normal safety precautions.
