Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Progressive Care Nurse to join our team at a teaching hospital. The ideal candidate will have experience in critical care and possess a strong skill set in various medical procedures.
Duties:
- Provide care for patients requiring intermediate care, utilizing critical care skills
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, communicating updates to the healthcare team
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Perform airway management and IV insertions
- Assist with sterile processing and ensure adherence to infection control protocols
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care
