Summary:JCS Solutions has a need for a Senior Systems Administrator to join our growing team providing support services at the National Military Control Center at the Pentagon, Arlington, VA. Must have a strong technical network background to successfully manage multiple concurrent tasks and projects supporting the operations and maintenance, new engineering change task orders, technical refresh, new system improvement and modernization activities, and other major changes that occur. Responsibilities:
The specific duties include but are not necessarily limited to the following
Supervises and manages the daily activities of configuration and operation of business systems which may be mainframe, mini, or client/server based.
Optimizes system operation and resource utilization, performs system capacity analysis and planning. Aids users in accessing and using business systems.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Install, administer, and maintain virtual environments and physical hosts, Windows servers, workstations, desktops/ laptops, etc., as part of the overall systems architecture across multiple networks.
Administer Active Directory services, member servers and storage, and integrate new technologies into new and existing systems.
Isolate and resolve complex hardware and software problems involving applications, operating systems, hardware, systems infrastructure, etc.
Manage and execute projects approved and documented in the ticketing system.
Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks; systems management including account monitoring, security, operating system installation, and other local area system administration related functions.
Utilize manual checks, GUI-based tools, and PowerShell to troubleshoot and remediate basic to complex systems hardware, software, and configuration issues on assigned systems, networks, and Active Directory.
Experience with implementation of Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG).
Experience writing/editing PowerShell Scripts.
Provide input to in-progress reviews on IT projects and maintain effective communications with government and other site leadership.
Experience with Hyper-V (or VMWare), SCCM, DHCP and DNS.
Technically strong and able to make quick, sound decisions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are a must.
To be successful, you should have:Required Skills and Experience:
Possess a current TS/SCI clearance
Minimum of four years’ experience, of which at least three years must be specialized experience in administrating computer systems. General experience includes operations experience on a large-scale computer system or a multi-server local area network.
A bachelor’s degree in computer science/systems, information systems/technology, engineering/engineering technology, software engineering/programming, management, natural sciences, social sciences, mathematics, or business/finance.

Broad familiarity with RMF requirements
Windows / Linux OS installation and configuration
Account Creation/Closure

Deprovision accounts as requested in Remedy after verifying all required documentation
STIGs
Run SCAP scans
Create STIG checklists
Remediation of STIG findings
Review ACAS scans and download applicable patches
Patch supported systems
Hardware: Windows/Linux Servers;End user devices (laptop & desktop)
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and assignments simultaneously under strict deadlines with minimal direction at times.
Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
