JCW is currently partnered with a regional bank on establishing their internal audit function to support growth across the firm. The team is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join the internal audit department. This pivotal role will be responsible for conducting risk-based audits, assessing internal controls, and providing valuable insights to enhance the bank’s operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong auditing experience within the banking industry, a solid understanding of regulatory requirements, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.

Day to Day-

• Plan and execute risk-based audits of various departments and processes within the bank, including financial, operational, and compliance audits.
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, identify areas for improvement, and make recommendations to management.
• Conduct interviews, review documents, and perform testing to evaluate the reliability and integrity of financial information and operational processes.

Qualifications-

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience in a financial institution.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a related role at a regulated financial institution and/or Big Four accounting firm.
• Thorough knowledge of auditing standards, practices, and techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
