Title: Corporate Tax Manager

Location: Stamford, CT (hybrid)

Overview:

JCW is working with a leading global industrial manufacturing company on a Tax Manager opening. This candidate will oversee all aspects of corporate taxation, ensuring compliance with local and international tax laws while implementing strategies to optimize our tax position. This position reports directly to the Head of Tax and offers the opportunity to contribute to the financial success of our dynamic and growing organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage all aspects of corporate tax compliance, including the preparation and filing of federal, state, and international tax returns.
2. Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740, including effective tax rate calculations and deferred tax analysis.
3. Develop and implement tax planning initiatives to minimize tax liabilities and maximize cash flow.
4. Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
5. Conduct tax research and analysis to support decision-making and resolve complex tax issues.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and business operations, to provide tax guidance and support for strategic initiatives.
7. Assist with tax-related aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
8. Maintain effective relationships with tax authorities and respond to inquiries and audits as needed.
9. Provide training and guidance to finance and accounting staff on tax-related matters.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in corporate taxation, preferably within a multinational corporation or public accounting firm.
• Strong technical knowledge of US and international tax laws and regulations.
• Experience with tax compliance software and ERP systems; proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax issues and provide practical solutions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence key stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
