JDC Management is Hiring a Leasing Agent Near Fredericksburg, VA

Our affordable housing community located in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking to fill an immediate full-time opening for the position of Leasing Agent.

As a Leasing Agent , you will become the public face for our properties and the key liaison between the management office and prospective renters. We’re looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, outgoing individual who has previous leasing experience and can offer competent service to our renters. You will work with and directly report to the Property Manager.

The Leasing Agent will perform the following duties:

  • Meet with prospective residents and take them on tours of the units that interest them
  • Assists the Property Manager with the preparation and execution of leases in accordance with our property standards and regulations
  • Conduct credit checks and other background tasks to qualify potential renters
  • Collect application fees, security deposits and rent payments
  • Take and prepare work orders
  • Inform residents of any changes to the rental agreement or upcoming problems with the property
  • Follow up with prospective residents
  • Establish rapport with tenants and provide personalized service
  • Monitor use of community facilities, including laundry, mail and fitness centers
  • Other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

  • 2 years experience in leasing
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Ability to multitask during busy periods
  • Knowledge of the apartment industry

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
