SUPERINTENDENT 

Top Boston-based construction frim has immediate opening for a Super. Hands on management on-site combines with office duties, coordination with vendors, subcontractors and the Project Manager. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develops and maintains working relationships with the project’s building officials and inspectors and is responsible for scheduling.

• Identifies and makes recommendations to Project Manager regarding project risks, site conditions, changes, safety issues, etc.

• Supervises and monitors work of all hired trades, carpenters and laborers. .

• Reviews all subcontractor and vendor progress payment requests.

• Manages the terminations and hiring of replacements and when and where necessary for non-performing employees.

• Prepares punch lists and ensures completion of all related work prior to inspections and product acceptance.
• Inspects subcontractor’s work to ensure proper standards are being met.
• Creates, maintains and updates project schedules and reports of progress and project completion status.
• Oversees and manages the timely ordering, delivery and storage of materials required to construct and complete the project in accordance with schedule.
• Monitors subcontractor compliance with project safety policies and program. Manages the site condition to ensure a safe work environment.
• Collaborates and maintains professional relationships with third party consultants and inspectors.
• Understands and maintains high standards in compliance with applicable health and safety rules and regulations, as well as local, state, and federal laws.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field.
• 5-15 years experience.
