The Clinical Research Administrator I provides excellent customer service to all partners, while performing research administration activities. This includes, but is not limited to, tracking accounts receivable, timely invoicing and following-up on invoices with sponsors, processing payments for bills, monthly expense reconciliation, personnel effort review, and monitoring account balances. The Clinical Research Administrator I will also assist the research billing and coding team with clinical invoiceable items.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Customizes visit payment trackers to mirror each negotiated budget, in order to assist in tracking all receivables for the life of the clinical trial.
• Manages a portfolio of active clinical trial grant accounts by tracking accounts receivable, invoicing sponsors as applicable, processing payments for bills, and reviewing personnel effort.
• Reconciles all assigned accounts against the General Ledger on a monthly basis.
• Maintains account metrics which monitor all clinical trial grant account balances, and reports the financial status to the team lead, and corresponding departments, on a monthly basis.
• Assists Clinical Research Billers with review of patient clinical invoiceable charges.
• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Previous experience in clinical research administration preferred.
