This Project Manager is accountable for providing management and operational assistance to components of the cancer center. This position will focus on Diversity Equity and Inculsion (DEI) and Cancer Research Training and Education (CRTEC) initiaitves and their intersection with other components. This position provides a split (50/50) administrative support for these specific CCSG activities. Responsibilities include scheduling, preparing and running meetings, detailed documentation practices, undertaking of small and large scale projects dedicated to the CCSG.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Supports framework to enhance DEI and CRTEC efforts for the Cancer Center Support Grant and the SKCC NCI-designation.
  • Responsible for project management. In coordination with the ADs for DEI and CRTEC, this person will develop projects spanning across the components with a focus on NCI best practices.
  • Supports and aligns with the SKCC administrative goals and the cancer center strategic plan.
  • Serves as a conduit for the Associate Directors when working alongside other CCSG components.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement and works with Associate Directors to communicate data insights and improve DEI and CRTEC operations.
  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
  • Knowledge of current best practices in diversity and inclusion is preferred.
  • Experience in an academic environment is preferred.

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s degree or above in related field required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of 5 years related professional work experience in a healthcare setting required and project management with population science background.
