Jefferson City Medical Group is Hiring a Patient Service Rep/Medical Assistant- (JCMG Float) Near Jefferson, MO
Patient Service Rep/Medical Assistant- To float within JCMG ClinicsHours -M-F 7:00-5:00- varies based on the clinic needsThis is a full-time position with full benefits, including insurance, 148 PTO hours per year, 56 hours of paid Holidays per year including the day after Thanksgiving, and an Employee Retirement Plan (401K) with employer match. Tuition reimbursement and a grow our own Medical Assistant Program.
Demonstrates knowledge of basic insurance and billing procedures.
Performs secretarial duties in a timely and efficient manner.
Demonstrates knowledge and ability to check patients in and out for his/her clinic visit.
Correctly uses facility communication systems.
Demonstrates knowledge of appointment scheduling procedures.
Performs clerical duties in a timely and efficient manner.
Ensures efficient telephone communication.
Correctly uses facility communication systems.
Education
High school diploma or GED
Experience:
Minimum of one year experience in customer service setting, preferably as a receptionist in a healthcare setting
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Computer Skills RequiredBasic knowledge of office equipment: telephone, fax, copier
Medical terminology desired
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Works in heated and air-conditioned area consistent with a normal office environment.
