Negotiate, benchmark, implement, and monitor large scale
acquisitions, contracts, and product portfolios to ensure TJUH Inc. takes full advantage of value based, state of the art equipment, devices, and opportunities.
Lead cross-functional project teams and develop and leverage supplier partnerships, Jefferson Health System relationships, and group purchasing organization (GPO) contracts to meet business requirements to create sustainable solutions that maximize cost effectiveness for the institution and support its strategic direction . ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Five to seven years progressively responsible experience in purchasing, contract management, or materials management setting

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Supports partnerships with aligned departments and builds relationships at Director or Manager level. Helps Assistant Director and Director develop and execute strategic sourcing plans across a sub-group of product and service categories that appropriately factor departmental needs alongside institutional challenges and directives
- Manages $25-50mm in annual spend
- Manages all stages of sourcing process from situation analysis, business requirements gathering, market research and intelligence, strategy creation, request for proposal, negotiation, award, implementation, and budgetary compliance.
- Initiates bid process and utilizes eSourcing technology to increase value delivery and increase efficiency of the bidding process. Analyzes responses, awards business, develops contracts and engages appropriately with TJUH and vendor legal departments to implement, monitors vendor performance post-award through structured and well-defined supplier relationship management
- Supports strategic supplier relationships through establishment and measurement of KPIs and other performance measures to deliver enterprise-wide cost optimization and maintain focus on pioneering, innovate products and services
- Responds appropriately and proactively to customer needs and supports departmental, hospital, and university initiatives.
- Highly organized, self motivated decision-maker working with minimal supervision and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.
