Jefferson Health is Hiring a CT Technologist - Full Time (Evening Shift) - Jefferson Northeast Near Philadelphia, PA
ResponsibilitiesReporting to the CT Scan Supervisor, this position is responsible for performing computed tomographic imaging examinations under the general direction of a radiologist and in accordance with established policies and procedures. Explains procedures to patients and/or family members ensuring cooperation and optimum test results and to reduce anxiety. Assembles all necessary patient information and delivers to radiologist for interpretation and review. Performs other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor. May be required to rotate through all campuses of Jefferson Bucks County Radiology.
QualificationsQualifications:Education:Satisfactory completion of a formal CT Scanning training program or equivalent training as specified by the American Registry of Radiologisc Technologists (ARRT).
Experience:Minimum one year experience working as a CT technologist in a healthcare facility.
Licensure/Certification/Registration Requirements:ARRT required
Cat Scan certification eligible preferred- Cat Scan certification must be achieved within 6 months of hire.
On the job training program agreement requirement
6 months competency and didactic program completion from hire
Additional 6 months to attain CT certification.
Conditions of Employment Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
Conditions of Employment Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson’s clinical entities or at the University. If you are not currently vaccinated you will be required to receive the vaccination prior to hire date if you are offered employment, unless you request and receive an approved medical or religious exemption from Jefferson.
