Jefferson Health is Hiring a Lead Grounds keeping Maintenance Technician - East Falls Near Philadelphia, PA

Responsibilities Qualifications
  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson
  • Mows lawns and trims grass around walks, flower beds and walls. Performs routine cleaning and maintenance on garden areas.
  • Prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth. Lays out and tends flower beds or other decorative vegetation. Plants,
fertilizes, waters and uses herbicides and insecticides to maintain grass/lawns, flowers, trees and shrubs.
  • Cultivates soil by adding fertilizer or chemical treatments. Plants seeds and bulbs, tree seedlings, shrubbery, and sod so that
resultant growth will produce an attractive appearance
  • Removes damaged leaves, branches, and twigs using mowers, tractors and other hand and power tools.
  • Removes snow and ice from walks and driveways. Spreads salt, picks up litter, rakes, bags and burns of leaves.
  • Cleans hospital grounds, garages, parking lots, driveways, walks, steps, and entrances to maintain cleanliness throughout
hospital. Empties outside trash containers.
  • Performs routine preventative maintenance and repairs on groundskeeping equipment.
Conditions of Employment Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson’s clinical entities or at the University. If you are not currently vaccinated you will be required to receive the vaccination prior to hire date if you are offered employment, unless you request and receive an approved medical or religious exemption from Jefferson.
