Job Summary The Lead Laboratory Medical Technologist performs laboratory bench work and assists the supervisor/manager with day-to-day operations where assigned; and may act in a supervisory capacity in the absence of the regular supervisor or manager.

Job Summary The Lead Laboratory Medical Technologist performs laboratory bench work and assists the supervisor/manager with day-to-day operations where assigned; and may act in a supervisory capacity in the absence of the regular supervisor or manager.
Responsibilities
- Leading and instructing other Technologists and Technicians in the assignment of their duties, monitoring clinical performance and competency and providing training where necessary.
- Perform laboratory analysis following documented procedures. This includes performing PCR (polymerase chain reaction) based molecular assays, possesing basic knowledge of molecular biology and molecular technologies, and executing all tasks with attention to details.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred in related field of Science, preferably from an accredited school of Medical Laboratory Technology.
- 3 years' experience as a Technologist or Laboratory Technician in a clinical laboratory setting.
- ASCP certification in MB (Molecular Biology), MT, MLS, or MLT preferred.
