Jefferson Industries Corporation is Hiring a (Internal Posting) Facilities Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift Near West Jefferson, OH
- Support production in meeting daily requirements by maintaining Facility, HVAC, Electrical, Water, Grounds and overall building
- Preventative maintenance inspections
- Equipment repairs and improvements
- Work area organization
- Spare parts tracking
- Emergency breakdown response
- Work order completion
- Program back ups
- Acquire training as needed
- Maintain proper documentation
- Predictive maintenance tasks.
- OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
- Must be able to work overtime, including weekends when required
- Able to quickly ascertain a situation and be decisive in identifying defects and solving problems with equipment and process to avoid missed quality, delivery, or safety concerns
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.
- Able to work at heights up to 60 feet
- Ability to work on electrical up to 480 volts
- Ability to operate a forklift, boom lift, and scissor lift
- Strong communication skills and intuitive problem solving skills
- Must be able to stand up to 10 hours per day with frequent walking
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Previous experience with hand/power tools
- Plus one ( 1) or above attendance points balance
- Must not have have an active written counseling
- All eligible candidates will be evaluated and depending on the number of applicants, may or may not have an interview with the hiring Coordinator/Manager, and/or a representative of the Human Resources Department to determine who may be selected to fill the opening. Criteria considered in such decisions will involve your overall work record at JIC.
- JIC will make every effort to match associate skills with available positions. In the event JIC is unable to match associate skills with position requirements, the position may be filled through an invitation to transfer or with a new hire.
- Position advancement for positions above the Associate Level will be based on required education, job skills and company seniority (hire date) first, and position seniority as the second consideration. All new Team Leaders and Technicians will start with hire date seniority. Shift assignments will be determined based on Company seniority and position availability. Announcements will be made after all candidates have been interviewed and selected.
