We are actively seeking associates to join our Quality Assurance Department on 2nd shift (core schedule, Monday through Thursday, 4:00pm - 12:30am, and Friday 3:30pm - 12:00am)

Job Position and Duties May Include:

Confirm calibration status of all tools prior to use.

Perform new model and monthly destructs on all required parts

Measure and confirm weld nugget diameters of all welds

Confirm weld integrity of all stud welds by hammer check

Perform a torque check on every weld nut and confirm results meet the minimum torque specifications

Perform push out test on all bolts, nuts, and pins. Confirm results meets the minimum push out specifications

Complete correction action report for all non-conforming results and report to the Weld and Quality Management members

Ensure all documentation is thorough, accurate, and completed on time 

Supports department budgets and costs

Promotes efficient use of time

Complete all required destructs/test prior to the end of the month 

Helps to develop current based practices within the department

Participates in departmental and interdepartmental meetings

Demonstrates strong organizational skills

Assists with the department business plan

Demonstrates ability to work independently with little or no supervision

Accepts job assignments and changes in a positive manner, takes responsibility for own and team's performance and job assignments

Seeks out new assignments, proposes new work methods and finds better ways to complete tasks

Other duties as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENT:

Willing to work weekends and holidays as needed

Must be self motivated and work with minimum supervision

Must be a team player

Postive thinker, can do attitude, promote JIC in a positive manner

Quality oriented, understand zero defects is our goal

Possess skills to communicate with associates, management team, other department managers and senior management

Strong communication skills to provide direction and motivation to fellow team members, members of other departments, and production associates

Able to quickly identify defects and solve problems with equipment, process, and documentation to avoid missed quality, delivery or safety concerns

Knowledge of PDCA Program

Competent in Office computer software, including Word, Excel, and Power Point

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers. Intermediate level skills with standard office suite programs: word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, email. 

Performs essential duties & responsbilities in a safe and efficient manner

Maintains satisfactory attendance record and follows JIC policies as outlined in handbook

Receives training and reacts positively to improve performance of job duties

Must be a self starter with own continuous improvement agenda

Must have a high energy level and attention to detail that routinely delivers expected results

JIC associates are eligible for a comprehensive and competitive compensation and benefits package, including:

  • Weekly Pay

JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS


  • Previous manufacturing and/or warehouse experience, preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs on a consistent basis
  • Ability to stand on concrete up to 12 hours
  • Ability to repeatedly bend, stoop and twist throughout shift
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime as required to meet customer demands
    • overtime may be daily and/or weekend
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
