Role & Responsibilities
- Plan, communicate, and implement effective quality management systems.
- Develop quality standards, policies and related systems that will ensure minimal defects in product and minimal waste of resources.
- Respond quickly and efficiently to and follow-up on customer quality inquiries and/or complaints.
- Manage quality corrective action and customer satisfaction programs to include QC7 and KT method.
- Manage, train, coach and mentor all subordinates in QA Department.
- Facilitate successful continuous improvement activities.
- Formulate and implement plans to achieve quality related goals.
- Provide plans, procedures and goals for measuring and analyzing results.
- Provide company-wide leadership towards successful QS9000 efforts.
- Develop relationships with suppliers.
- Conduct audits of all product lines as well as suppliers.
- Utilize Statistical Process Control.
- Other duties as assigned
- BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience.
- QS/ISO 9000 implementation experience.
- CMM Experience.
- TS-16949
- Stamping and Resistance Welding Experience.
- Automotive Industry Experience Preferred.
- 3-5 Years of Management Experience
While performing the essential duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, sharp objects and constant loud noise. The employee is regularly required to: use their hands to tough and handle objects; hear; talk; see, including close vision; stand for long hours; stoop; kneel; sit; climb; balance; and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
