SUMMARY

Under general supervision, stacks filled candy cartons and moves loaded skids from packing area to staging area for shipment, and rotate with tray washing crew.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem from time to time.

Food safety or quality responsibilities within job. All staff are responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues to those that can initiate action.

1. Lifts filled candy cartons from conveyor and correctly stacks them on skids, ensures skids are properly squared and that items are palletized by item number and weight.

1. Uses forklift/pallet jack to move loaded skids to staging area.

1. Keeps Pallet Movement Report and makes sure that this report matches production ticket.

1. Uses hand held scanner as needed to make license plates for product identification.

1. Report daily production accurately using the scanning system.

1. Preform start up and shutdown procedure for tray washing machine.

1. Wash plastic trays using the tray washer.

1. Mark cleaned trays with label stating they are clean and separate from dirty trays.

1. Performs other duties as assigned.

1. Responsible for the quality of their work and implementation of the food safety/quality procedures applicable to the processes that they perform.

1. Complete daily end of shift 5`s cleaning.

1. Report all safety incidents.

1. Responsible to report any food safety/quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action – SQF Practitioner or direct supervisor.

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to read and communicate effectively in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide.

Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY

Must be able to follow LMI Packaging Solutions quality standards and company policies and procedures.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
