Jenner Inn, located where the Russian River meets the Pacific Ocean, is looking for a Part-time Innkeeper to join our team.

Our next team member ideally has previous hospitality or customer service experience, but if you are motivated to learn, love to interact with people, and have strong communication and management skills, we encourage you to apply.

Knowledge of Sonoma Coast and surrounding activities is a bonus. Though, we will gladly show you around if you've yet to experience all it has to offer.

The Innkeeper will be responsible for:

• Being the warm and welcoming first point of contact for all guests as they arrive for check in.
• Assisting with the day to day operations of the Inn
• Managing incoming reservations through our booking software, as well as from direct phone and email inquiries.
• Managing any complaints or questions from guests in a polite and friendly manner.
• Assisting with the preparation of breakfast for guests.
• Coordinating with the housekeepers and ensuring the housekeeping schedule is met during your shift.
• Coordinating with the Grounds/Maintenance Personnel
• Performing room checks upon housekeeping completion and prior to guest arrivals.
• Innkeepers from time to time may be required to assist with housekeeping duties.
• You will often be asked for recommendations for adventures, dining, entertainment, etc. We encourage feedback and suggestions to each guest; your personality should come through.
• Handling transactions, mostly by credit card.
• At times, the Innkeeper may need to perform other tasks not mentioned to help maintain the mission of providing great customer service and an amazing guest experience. You must be willing to pitch in when needed.

Requirements:

• You must have the ability and willingness to work to solve any problems, with assistance from the team, in a quick and efficient manner. Many issues will need to be handled by the Innkeeper on duty directly.
• Attention to detail.
• Must have clear and professional communication skills, both verbally and in writing. Bilingual is a plus.
• A welcoming approach when speaking with customers and vendors both in person and over the phone.
• The property consists of many stairs and uneven terrain. You must have the physical ability to move throughout the property and to occasionally carry up to 30-40 lbs.
• Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and holidays.

Past experience in this role is not a requirement, but a positive attitude and engaging personality is a must.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
