TBG | The Bachrach Group is partnered with one of the leading global chemical manufacturing companies on their search for an ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST . The ideal candidate will have at least 1.5 to 2 years of full cycle AP experience within chemicals, oil & gas, refinery, plant or manufacturing industry. An Associate's Degree is required (BA or BS preferred).
****NOTE: This role is Temporary to Permanent.****
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prepare invoice deduction notices.
- Check and approve all vouchers and invoices for payment.
- Issue and track purchase orders.
- Audit freight bills against manifests.
- Manage AP files and records.
- Communicate with vendors and answer inquiries regarding invoices, expenses, and other check requests as well as provide support with resolving any discrepancies.
- Prepare AP checks.
- Analyze vendor accounts and negotiate extended terms with vendors.
- Run reports.
- Support with preparation of 1099s including month-end closing activities, journal entries, and bank statement reconciliations.
- Collaborate with AR team and other operational groups for any special projects.
- Must have an Associate's Degree.
- Minimum of 1.5 to 2 years of fully cycle accounts payable experience.
- Working knowledge of any major accounting ERP systems.

Salary range: $24.00 - $28.00 hourly DOE
