Cake Decorator

Duties:
- Prepare and decorate cakes according to customer requests and specifications
- Create visually appealing designs using various cake decorating techniques
- Ensure cakes are baked and cooled properly before decorating
- Use icing, fondant, and other decorative elements to create designs and patterns
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines while handling and preparing food
- Collaborate with the bakery team to ensure timely completion of orders
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed

Skills:
- Experience working in a restaurant, pastry shop, catering company, or kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and cake decorating methods
- Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures
- Culinary skills and creativity in designing and decorating cakes
- Excellent customer service skills to interact with customers and fulfill their requests
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and ability to maintain a clean and organized work area

Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment. * Maintains sales floor which includes stocking racks and tables, pulling stale product, cleaning up miscellaneous spills and loose debris. * Prepares, processes, packages, and labels all Bakery products. * Inspects all Bakery products for quality and freshness, rotates products on display for sale and in reserve areas and removes products with expired shelf life. * Assists customers with special orders via telephone, online orders, or in person. * Keeps the department and storage area organized according to “5S” standards. * Monitors temperature of all display and storage units for proper product holding. * Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.95 - $16.20 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
