The Supervisor of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable is responsible for overseeing the accounts payable, accounts receivable and billing functions for all of the companies that make up the Jewelers Mutual Group.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Manages the billing/accounts receivable function.
• Coordinates and completes system testing for system changes and upgrades.
• Manages customer service inquiries related to billing.
• Leads collection process with Jewelers Board of Trade (JBT).
• Has overall accountability for all billing and accounts receivable processes and reconciliations.
• Ensures superior customer service on all accounts receivable and billing related issues.
• Monitors daily accounts payable and outgoing cash transactions activity including claims payments, premium refunds, commissions and vendor payments.
• Communicates with vendors and internal company personnel in resolving accounts payable issues
• Has overall accountability for all accounts payable processes and reconciliations.
• Processes payments and posts to correct general ledger accounts.
• Oversees the accounts payable month end close and related reconciliation processes.
• Reviews and processes payments according to company guidelines.
• Supervises activities of the accounts receivable and payable staff.
• Serves as primary back-up for all day to day banking processes.
• Identifies and leads process improvement initiatives related to accounts payable and billing.
• Manages all processes related to Concur Invoice (the Company’s Invoice Management system).
• Assists with various audit requests.
• Participates in department projects.

Leadership Responsibilities

Carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5 years of related experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-2 years supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
• Property/casualty insurance background and jewelry industry experience are helpful.
