Jewish Community Center of San Francisco is Hiring a Tikvah Dance Instructor Near San Francisco, CA
JCCSF Tikvah School of Music & Dance is a unique bicultural children’s program taught in Russian by native-speaking instructors. Tikvah explores Jewish culture through music, dance, art, and Shabbat celebrations.
The Tikvah Dance Teacher provides high quality dance programming for children ages 2 – 17. In addition, the instructor is responsible in assisting for the annual dance recital and for creating and maintaining a clean and safe environment within the dance studios.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach children’s dance classes including tap, jazz, ballroom and hip-hop.
Create curriculums for all classes.
Assist in creation of new classes.
Provide excellent customer service to families by communicating with them about their child’s experience.
REQUIREMENTS
At least two years’ experience working with school-age children.
Knowledge of and ability to teach dance for elementary-age children. We welcome applicants with experience in any dance genre.
Fluent bilingual spoken language skills in English and Russian.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position works on-site in a community center environment, with regular interactions with children and their families.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to demonstrate a variety of dance skills and movements.
