Responsibilities:
- Establish, maintain and oversee quality programs
- Ensure adherence to safe work practices and train QC Inspectors
- Supervise daily activities of QC Inspectors and evaluate their performance
- Serve as the main interface with third-party Authorized Inspection personnel
- Lead quality assessments and code reviews.
- Support production by creating process documents, scheduling inspections, and coordinating NDE functions
- Oversee creation of in-process and end-product quality documents and manage nonconformance corrective action program
- Interface with material suppliers to resolve quality issues and handle returned materials
- Act as primary quality contact for Customer Service and Sales, resolving quality issues with customers and sales representatives
- BS degree in related field
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Quality experience including supplier & customer interaction
- Knowledge of machining, fabrication and welding a plus
