Job Overview
I am seeking a dedicated and caring Special Needs Aide/Attendant for my 15-year-old son. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing medical and physical support while fostering a nurturing environment. Prior work experience involving children with severe developmental disabilities preferred.
Duties
- Assist with activities of daily living, ensuring physical and emotional needs are met.
- Use adaptive strategies and accommodations to meet their unique needs.
- Maintain open communication.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism, or severe developmental delays.
- Knowledge of childhood development, literacy education, and special needs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Familiarity with American Sign Language or a willingness to learn.
- Comfortable working with students who have autism and other special needs.
- Physical stamina to engage in active play and assist with daily activities.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing high-quality support to students.
