The Jewish HealthCare Center is one of New England’s most respected HealthCare facilities, providing innovative long-term care, short-term rehabilitation, hospice services, home care services, and Alzheimer’s care to the community since 1916.
JHC Hospice (an affiliate of Jewish Healthcare) has developed a reputation for providing outstanding care in the community. We are currently looking to add a part time Chaplain to our compassionate and collegiate team. As a hospice chaplain, you will be providing spiritual care to our patients as they transition to end-of-life while supporting families, caregivers and fellow healthcare workers. Our chaplain may offer companionship, prayers, and a listening presence to help guide patients and their loved ones toward acceptance and spiritual peace. Our goal is to provide an interdisciplinary approach to end of life care. This is a part time position offering competitive wages and great benefits. Hospice experience is preferred but not required.
- 2-3 years prior counseling experience, including counseling of terminally ill individuals and their families
- Degree in related field preferred
- Knowledge/experience in hospice preferred
- Strong team player with a positive attitude
- Reliable and flexible with the ability to work autonomously in the field
- Positive prior work history with great references
- Comfort level with electronic documentation
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license for reasonable local travel
