**Portland Mechanical Contractors** is actively seeking a new **Warehouse Helper** to join our dynamic team!The ideal candidate will have a "can do" attitude, great work ethic & be extremely reliable! Were eager meet our newest team member!**Summary****:**The Warehouse Helper is responsible for preparing job site and/or service technician tool requests, unloading tools and equipment, checking in to inventory with computer, ensuring proper function and safety checks are done, returning items to their respective locations and other tasks as needed.

**Job Tasks & Responsibilities:**

* Create jobs site and service technician tool requests

* Receive tools and equipment for return and verify contents

* Unload trucks via forklift operation

* Update the product inventory as products are received and added to inventory with computer

* Perform general housekeeping tasks to keep warehouse clean and organized (sweep, dust, mop, re-locate/re-stack materials, etc.)

* Follow Company safety procedures and protocols

* Other duties as assigned to meet business needs may include tasks/projects outside warehouse

**Required skills:**

* Forklift operating experience is a plus

* Familiarity with company equipment and materials

* Ability to safety lift /maneuver items up to 40 lbs. at a time, unassisted

* Understanding Company and OSHA safety rules and best practices

* Ability to read & interpret work instructions

* Basic computer skills

* Strong attention to detail

* Excellent verbal skills, including a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with internal & external customers

* Ability to work overtime as needed

* The ability to work at a steady pace and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines

**Education/Experience:**

* High school diploma/GED preferred

* Previous warehouse related experience or applicable internal experience with JHK

* Forklift certification

* Must posses a valid driver license

* The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

* Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision and Distance vision

* While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear

* The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit and use hands

* Ability to drive an automobile and a valid drivers license
