General Manager
The General Manager position is responsible for providing uncompromised excellence at all times, making food, the guest and our team members a constant priority.
The General Manager demonstrates a consistent track record of positive business results and effective, sustained leadership that contributes to the success of their restaurant and the brand.
The General Manager upholds all company policies, procedures and standards through their management team and team members.
They are responsible for formulating plans to meet sales and profitability targets, deploy new initiatives and develop their team.
As the leader of the management team, the General Manager is a role model of Jim N Nick’s core values.

Requirements :
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED). Some college preferred.
- Three to five years of high volume full-service restaurant management experience.
- Passion to serve the guest and the team
- Possess a positive attitude
- Enjoy working in a fast paced environment
- Great communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and exercise good judgement
- Respect the adherence to health, safety and sanitation procedures
- Ability to effectively manage and motivate a team
- Committed and accountable for all JNN standards, processes and procedures
Physical Requirements (Reasonable Accommodations may be requested)
Performs duties that require bending, lifting, reaching and turning. Transports items and containers (weighing up to 50 lbs.
to and from stock and kitchen locations. Is able to stand up to 8 hours or longer if needed.

Jim N Nicks started cooking pork low and slow in 1985 when Nick, along with his dad Jim, reclaimed an old pizza parlour on Clairmont Avenue in Birmingham, AL where they opened the first Jim N Nicks Bar-B-Q. Over thirty five years later, with 41 restaurants in 7 states, Jim N Nicks Bar-B-Q has become a Southern institution. Jim 'N Nick's specializes in Hickory Smoked BBQ and Southern Food in a made-from-scratch, fresh daily kitchen. We are proud to say we don't have freezers. Local owners are taught the recipes and techniques, which they then pass on to the cooks and pitmasters in each location. Commitment to the flavors and hospitality of the South drives our team to keep exploringto continue meeting those who bring real food and soul to the table. This quest leads us many different places: small Mom-and-Pop chicken shacks, convenience stores in Louisiana selling great boudin, events and conferences, and white tablecloth restaurants.
