Job Summary: The Service Technician at Jim Norton T - Town Chevrolet in Tulsa, Oklahoma is responsible for performing skilled labor and technical support in all aspects of automotive maintenance and repairs. This individual contributor role is a full-time, salaried position in the auto industry and requires a skilled and knowledgeable individual who is dedicated to providing top-quality service to our customers. The Service Technician will work as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Compensation & Benefits: The compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $120,000 per year, paid semi-monthly. Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and tune-ups.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles.
Repair and replace parts such as brakes, belts, and hoses.
Perform advanced diagnostic tests using specialized equipment.
Keep accurate records of services performed and parts used.
Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers about vehicle repairs.
Adhere to company safety protocols and guidelines.
Continuously update knowledge and skills through training and development opportunities.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience as an automotive technician or in a similar role.
Strong working knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.
Ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
Excellent communication skills.
Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Must be able to lift and move heavy objects.
