Default Services Associate Attorney

Our client is known for its dedication to delivering exceptional legal services and is a leader in default services, providing comprehensive solutions to clients in a fast-paced and ever-evolving industry. The Attorney will handle a diverse caseload involving mortgage foreclosure, bankruptcy, and related litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven attorney to grow within a supportive and innovative firm.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to provide legal advice and develop strategies for handling default services litigation matters and best practices.
• Review, prepare, draft legal documentation such as pleadings, motions, memoranda etc.
• Review and analyze pleadings and determine the best course of action.
• Conduct legal research to stay apprised on new and updated case law, rules, regulations, and laws relevant to default litigation.
• Adhere to a consistent schedule of hearings, court appearances, and case-related conferences.
• Collaborate with support staff to ensure efficient case management.
• Utilize strong communication skills to effectively advocate for clients and negotiate settlements.
• Demonstrate skills of persuasion and negotiation in resolving disputes.
• Maintain strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to the State Bar of New York or eligible for admission.
• Experience in one or any of the following areas strongly preferred; bankruptcy, evictions, default litigation
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Skills of persuasion and negotiation.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented.
• Strong computer skills and competency.
• Professional attitude and strong personal ethics.
• Flexible, willingness to learn new skills as needs arise.
• Proactive, engaging and have moxie.
• Desire to work in a flexible, team-centric environment where your voice is heard and respected.

Salary Range

$75k - $90k
