JLL is Hiring a People Partner Near Chicago, IL

We are seeking a People Partner in Work Dynamics supporting the Life Sciences and Public Institutions Divisions. This role requires a talented and experienced HR professional with a proven track record of pivoting between driving strategic people initiatives and tactical day to day escalations. The People Partner will interface with Managing Directors, Division Senior Leadership, COO, and Division President.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Provide strategic and day to day HR support to the respective Division leadership teams. This includes implementing the talent strategy and developing a people agenda that drives business outcomes, provides a unified approach across the business, and acting as primary point of contact for stakeholders.
Operate as an objective and trusted advisor; provides appropriate coaching to elevate the leadership team collectively and individually.
Ensure the organizational structure for the business is deployed efficiently and effectively. This includes a significant and on-going focus to optimize the organization.
Acting as an extension of the HR Vertical Lead by partnering closely with the broader HR team and Business Leadership to drive the acquisition, development, engagement, recognition and productivity of the workforce.
Identify the critical roles; assess bench strength; and develop meaningful and diverse succession plans.
Serve as the conduit between HR and the business ensuring consistent delivery of the talent strategy; this role ensures scale and efficient support by leveraging the broader HR team to meet key deliverables.
Work with HR Center of Excellence (Rewards, Talent, Operations) to drive the execution of talent priorities. This includes but not limited to annual goal setting, performance management, talent review, succession planning, and compensation.
Partner with Transitions team to successfully pitch and onboard new business.
Partner with PxP Lead and Vertical Lead to coach, develop, and ensure alignment and success of broader HR team
Ideal Candidate Will:
Ability to prioritize between multiple stakeholders across two divisions with varying agendas
Ability to have big picture thinking balanced with strong operationalizing skills
Articulate the overarching HR strategy then apply a pragmatic approach to execute for the function.
Build strong relationships, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence.
Communicate clearly and persuasively; uphold convictions on what's right for our employees, balanced with a shareholder lens of what's right for the organization.
Demonstrate a high level of business acumen that links the HR strategy to the business strategy and commercial aspects.
Set clear and challenging goals; tenacious and accountable in driving results.
Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty; able to adapt nimbly and lead others through complex situations.
Leverage prior experience with workforce management and optimization of organizations.
Derive insights from data and analytics to drive decisions and support the overall business strategy.
Lead through influence and have experience managing in a matrix organization.
Experience Requirements:
10-15 years of progressive Human Resources experience
Established leadership experience with working in a matrix work environment
Established history of being a trusted advisor to senior level stakeholders
Demonstrated results with leading and implementing strategic HR initiatives and driving results
