Position Available: Dorm Coordinator at Job Corps – Lead, Mentor, and Inspire Company Overview: Odle Management, a subsidiary of Eckerd Connects, operates Job Corps Centers across the U.S. We are committed to helping socioeconomically disadvantaged youth by providing no-cost educational and vocational training. Our mission is to teach essential skills to young people aged 16-24, helping them become employable and independent, and guiding them into meaningful jobs or further education. Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Dorm Coordinator to oversee the operation of an assigned dormitory at our Job Corps center. This role involves supervising, counseling, and guiding students to help them meet their educational and vocational goals. You will play a critical role in maintaining a safe, supportive, and disciplined environment that promotes personal growth and career success. Job Title: Dorm Coordinator Key Responsibilities: Supervise and mentor resident advisors and students in the dormitory. Maintain order and enforce discipline while fostering a culture of respect and self-improvement. Schedule and supervise cleaning and maintenance duties to ensure healthy living conditions. Oversee social skills development and student leadership sessions. Manage emergency situations effectively, providing necessary support to students. Participate in staff training and development sessions. Ensure compliance with all government and management directives. Working Conditions and Environmental Demands: Frequent sitting with occasional standing, walking, bending, and stooping. May involve lifting up to 50 lbs. and responding to emergency situations.   • Associate of Art’s degree.

Ability to obtain and maintain CPA/First Aid certification. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Able to read email daily and reply to messages in a timely manner based on urgency and importance. Knowledge of education and vocational training programs, and local social service and community assistance resources. Ability to inspire and motivate staff. Position requires an ability to operate office equipment. In addition, individual must be able to interact with team members and maintain an effective working relationship with all facility staff and departments. Working Conditions: This position involves frequent sitting and occasional standing, walking, bending, stooping, and squatting. May need to climb, lift up to 50 lbs., carry items, kneel, push, or pull, run, and drive. Applicant must be able to see, hear, and speak. Environmental Demands: Position requires ability to spend 5% of work time outside and 95% of work time indoors; ability to withstand moderate noise levels, including voice levels 90% of work time; ability to work in high temperature settings during the summer months; and ability to work in low temperature settings in winter months.
