Job Description

Job Description
Our client is looking for a Human Resource Director (HRD) to act as a strategic partner to the Facility CEO and leadership team, responsible for defining, developing, and implementing HR initiatives. The HRD will lead all Human Resources areas, including employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation management, performance management, training, policy and procedures, and managing the HR team. This role reports to the hospital CEO and receives direction from the HSC Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP).
Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct all Human Resources functions within the assigned facilities.
  • Manage HR staff, including training and performance management.
  • Align HR strategy with the HRBP's vision and directives.
  • Develop and implement strategic recruitment, retention, and succession planning programs.
  • Communicate and lead HR strategic initiatives with the hospital leadership team.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Advise facility management on progressive discipline, investigations, and terminations.
  • Maintain competitive compensation programs using market data.
  • Ensure HR readiness for audits and compliance with regulations.
  • Develop communication channels for employee engagement and information dissemination.
  • Oversee HR-related programs, including Workers Compensation, Performance Management, and payroll activities.
  • Coordinate and facilitate training programs aligned with hospital strategies.
  • Support the hospital's community efforts and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • Master’s Degree is preferred.
Certifications/Licenses:
- PHR/SPHR certification is preferred.
Work Experience:
- Five years of progressive HR experience in Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Training and Development, and Compensation Management, preferably in healthcare.
- Supervisory experience in HR support roles is preferred.
- Experience managing employee relations for large, multi-site settings is highly desirable.
- Extensive knowledge of federal and state employment law, CMS, OSHA, and TJC regulatory compliance.
Skills:
Proficient in business mathematics and advanced computer skills.
  • Excellent complex communication skills, particularly in a healthcare environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, project planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to present the company's position to various stakeholders.
