Responsibilities Of a Material Handler Includes
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain cleanliness
- Receive incoming materials and ship customer orders according to standard operating procedures
- Store approved incoming materials in designated areas in an organized and safe manner within the receiving warehouse
- Reposition inventory to facilitate FIFO (First In, First Out)
- Ensure all warehouse materials are clearly labeled to indicate their usability status or quarantine reason, and properly isolate quarantined materials
- Schedule the pickup of customer orders
- Clearly mark all warehouse materials to indicate their usability status or quarantine reason
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing tankers
- Weigh incoming and outgoing tankers and maintain accurate tanker records
- Collect samples from incoming shipments as required
- Pull and stage raw materials for batch production
- High school diploma/ GED
- Forklift experience required
- Capable and confident moving drums, totes, pallets in a tight work space
- Experience loading and unloading bulk tankers (preferred)
- Computer skills and detail oriented
- Ability to stand/lift/bend
- Experience dealing with chemicals required
